Mrs. Dziedzic's class got together last week to sing and do sign language for our national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, for Flag Day. Take a look at the video below and see how well they did!

For Father's Day, our first grade students worked with their fathers on some awesome wooden tool boxes, courtesy of the Home Depot. Check out some of the pictures of students working hard on their fathers' gifts!

  • Voce's Class - Food Drive for Veterans
Over the past few months, Ms. Voce has set up a food drive for veterans, and everyone here at Albany Elementary has contributed to it. Ms. Voce and her students were presented with a plaque from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6001, for the students of Albany Elementary School. A big thank you goes out to the VFW Post 6001, and also to Ms. Voce and everyone who contributed to the food drive.

  • Students from Ms. O'Neill's, Mrs. Chiffy's, Ms. Condon's, and Ms. Reid's classes received a visit from Helen Sperling, a Holocaust Survivor. She spoke at lengths about her life and experiences before, during, and after World War II. Students, teachers, and staff learned an important lesson from Mrs. Sperling, who taught us to never be a bystander when you see that people are being treated unfairly.
