JoAnn Russo is currently the principal at John F. Hughes Elmentary. Her work experience includes Assistant Principal, Athletic director at Mohawk Central School, AIS Specialist and Reading Teacher, both with the Utica City School District.
Mrs. Russo earned a CAS depree and a Masters degree in Education fron SUNY Cortland and a Bachelor's in Science degree from Cortland.
As a lifelong resident educated in the Utica City Schools, Mrs. Russo's philosophy is to learn by listening and sharing ideas. She believes that we learn, gain knowledge, understanding and skills with each moment we experience.
