See what the US Department of Education
has to say about Watson Williams
Built in 1992, Watson Williams is the newest
of Utica’s nine elementary buildings.
The school is situated on a plot of land that
was given to the city in the spring of 1897.
Mrs. Thomas R. Proctor, (Maria Watson
Williams) and Mrs. Fredrick T. Proctor, (Rachael Williams)
donated six and one half acres of land, called
Watson-Williams Park in memory of their father.
The school houses a dance studio, two
amphitheatres, a stage area for student activities and
two technology labs. Watson Williams’ successes both academically
and in the arts have
resulted in adding additional classrooms.
