peter and the wolf: by Sergei Prokofiev

The students, faculty and invited guests of Watson Williams Elementary enjoyed a school performance of “Peter and the Wolf. Over 30 fifth and sixth grade students told this original adaptation of the ever-popular story of Peter’s journey into the woods and his encounter with the wolf using rap, steel drums, theatrics, jokes and dance. Members of the Rotary Club in conjunction with the Utica Zoo judged the performance and finalists will earn an expense paid trip to the Bronx Zoo in the fall. Watson Williams competed against 11 other elementary schools. With the bright costumes, great music and enthusiastic performances by all students involved, Watson Williams students showcase the incredible talent and spirit of our school! Congratulations to all performers who are already winners no matter if they win or lose the contest.
