A special “Leprechaun” visited Watson Williams on St. Patrick’s Day. Maine author, Toni Buzzeo, shared her magical gifts of storytelling and writing to enthusiastic second and fourth grade students. She currently has two children’s books published. Her first, The Sea Chest, is illustrated by Mary GrandPre, who has illustrated the American Harry Potter books, Dawdle Duckling, the story of a young duckling who swims to the beat of his own drummer is her second, and a third, Little Loon and Papa, is expected out in May 2004.

Besides being a talented author of children’s books, Ms. Buzzeo also writes professional books for teachers and librarians. She is a Library Media Specialist at Longfellow School in Portland, ME. The Oneida-Herkimer BOCES School Library System sponsored Toni Buzzeo’s visit.
