Officer Penny at Albany Elementary

As a part of Mental Health Awareness Month, UPD's therapy dog Officer Penny, UPD Officer Marissa Vomer and Kellie Kiesel from the Mobile Crisis Assessment Team came to Albany school on 5/21/2025 to visit students and staff.  The crisis team paid a visit to the school last school year to explain Officer Penny's role in helping others, so many of the students were excited to see how much she has grown. Officer Penny is a certified therapy dog and her role is to assist in providing comfort to those in need of mental health assistance.
