Columbus: Mrs. Melissa Evolo Honoree this year as an Outstanding Educator by the Genesis Group

Mrs. Melissa Evolo, a special education teacher at Columbus Elementary, was an honoree this year as an outstanding educator by the Genesis Group. Mrs. Evolo was nominated by her principal, Ms. Gerling, at Columbus School for her dedication and lasting impact she’s had on students in the Utica City School District since 1990. "Mrs. Evolo has always given 100% to her students. She has made such a significant impact on all her students' lives that they continuously come back, year after year, to see her and let her know how well they are doing. She truly is an amazing teacher who puts her heart and soul into her "kids," as she affectionately calls them. Mrs. Evolo truly is one of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure to work with." states Ms. Gerling
