Message from Mr. Timpano:
March is a great month here at Kernan. We continue to explore new concepts and skills in all subject areas. Attendance is more important than ever as we are now in our third marking period. Please make sure your child is in school on a daily basis and if they are out due to illness, call the main office attendance line or nurse to let the us know. We have surprise “Kernan Days” once a month for students in attendance.
The PBIS character trait for March is GRIT. It is vital to have a work Growth Mindset even when life gets difficult. If we instill a Growth Mindset at a young age students will be prepared for challenges as they grow.
This month we are excited to welcome Community Readers for a special day at Kernan. Community Readers will share their backgrounds and professions with our students. They will also read a story to students. We are looking forward to providing our students with this experience.
