Proctor Students Shine on the Shakespearean Stage

This summer, Evelyn Campbell and Nasir Durham, rising seniors at Proctor High School, took center stage in a professional production of Macbeth at The Theater at Woodshill. Under the direction of Allen Guy Wilcox and Alastair Boag, Evelyn and Nasir rehearsed nearly every day throughout July, committing eight hours a day to bring Shakespeare’s classic tragedy to life.

The production ran for nine powerful performances from July 24 through August 2, and featured not only current Proctor talent, but alumni as well—James McNeil and Ethan Witt, both graduates of Proctor High School, returned to the stage alongside the cast.

Their dedication, artistry, and passion for theater remind us all of the incredible talent nurtured here in Utica. Bravo to these shining stars!
