Families will have a chance to complete a registration packet if they have not yet done so, meet directors, teachers, and community resources. There will also be fun activities for children!  We look forward to seeing you!

DOLLY PARTON’S IMAGINATION LIBRARY

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Republic of Ireland.

2025-2026 for Universal Pre-Kindergarten

The Utica City School District offers FREE Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) to all Utica City School District residents with children who are four years old ON or BEFORE December 1, 2025. The program is located at many different sites throughout the City of Utica for 2 1/2 hours per day for 180 school days. Children that participate in the Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program develop the language, literacy, and math skills they need in order to prepare for success in kindergarten while engaging in age appropriate activities that change weekly. All UPK teachers are New York State certified to teach Pre-K and participate in on-going professional development. Registration packets can be obtained from the Pre-K & Student Programs Office or a participating Universal Pre-Kindergarten Agency.
