We are proud to shine a spotlight on Marnie Williams. A dedicated educator, she has spent all 27 years of her career at Columbus Elementary School, a place she proudly calls her second home.

Throughout her time at Columbus, Mrs. Williams has gone far beyond the role of classroom teacher. She’s been a driving force behind the school’s PTO, helping lead fundraising efforts and building strong bridges between families, staff and the broader school community. As a valued member of the school leadership team, Marnie works side by side with colleagues to create meaningful experiences that enrich students' lives. Her peers call her a “hidden gem” which is a fitting tribute to her quiet strength and lasting impact.

Marnie's connection to Columbus runs ever deeper. Her own children are proud graduates of the school and the UCSD. Her lifelong dedication, both personal and professional, makes her an irreplaceable part of the Columbus community.
