DISTRICT WIDE FIELD TRIP TO THE IIHF WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Over 3,200 Utica students had a blast attending the IIHF Women’s World Championship hockey games on April 3rd, 5th & 9th. At the events, students were given “thunder sticks” and bottled water courtesy of the Adirondack Sports Council and the Utica Comets. Elementary students also received learning booklets that included interactive pages, coloring sections and mazes. Approximately 155 Proctor athletes attended the Women in Sport Summit on April 5th at Utica University. The summit featured a panel of experts, speaking on topics that included strength & training, nutrition, sports related health & wellness and equity. The games and summit provided amazing opportunities for students to experience events that celebrated diversity and women in sports.
