District News: "Leap of Kindness Day": Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce Donates to the Kernan Elementary School Food Pantry

Joanne Thompson, Executive Assistant at the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce and Makenna Sheppard, Marketing Associate at the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, participated in "Leap of Kindness Day". This February, Joanne and Makenna started a food drive and were able to donate two full carloads of food to the Kernan Elementary School Food Pantry. Student council students helped transport the food and provided the donors with a tour along with an example of how students utilize the pantry. The District appreciates the community assistance always keeping the pantry stocked and ensuring that students have healthy and readily available meals at home.
