CTE: U.S. Department of Agriculture Field Trip: USDA Farm Service Agency

Proctor students visited the U.S. The Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency in Marcy to learn about the services they offer - direct and guaranteed loans to farmers and ranchers to promote, build, and sustain family farms for a thriving agricultural economy. The USDA’s goal is to help producers generate revenue and benefit the planet. Students were able to gain an understanding of the importance of what farmers do and all it takes to be successful in rural areas as well as the impacts that the USDA has on their daily lives.
