P-12 Science Standards

The Board of Regents adopted the New York State P-12 Science Learning Standards in 2016 and developed a timeline for implementation and assessment of the standards. The rollout is currently in Phase II (Implementation and Transition) and Grade 8 students will be assessed on the 1996 Standards in the Spring of 2023. NYSED has released some resources for transitioning to the new standards.
