On Point For College is located in the Proctor Library, Room M257I for all students. OnPoint is an excellent resource and are available to help any students and parents with college-related questions, take students on college tours, provide guidance on the college application process, financial aid and more.

Mohawk Valley Community College


Mohawk Valley Community College staff from Admissions, Office of Accessibility Resources (OAR), Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Dual Credit, Financial Aid and more are  located in C131 for all students to receive support in the college process. Staff are available on a rotating basis, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. Please check with your school counselor for each department schedule.

College Applications

APPLYING ONLINE: 

Commonly used online applications can be found on the college’s website or at: 
Commonapp.org
SUNY.edu/student
Sendedu.org

  • Common App allows student to apply to numerous colleges with ONE application
  • The SUNY application, to apply to numerous SUNY colleges in ONE application 
  • Sendedu.org - a fast application sent directly to you from the college 

After you have completed your online application be sure to:  Print a verification page to bring to your counselor - this form needs to be sent with supporting materials. This form may be called a transcript request form, School Counselor form, etc. If you cannot find a form to print, be sure to inform your counselor that you’ve applied. Your file will not be complete for an acceptance decision until the college has ALL required materials. 
We cannot send your transcripts if we are not notified! 

* Most completed applications will include the following: the application, the transcript of grades, teacher and counselor recommendations, and documentation of extra-curricular activities.
